i know it's boring but i'm tired today. i had book club last night and went, even though i didn't finish the book. i drank a "mulled wine" which tasted like a winter holiday. mmmmm. it is red wine with spices, served hot. it came in a little clay decanter. i just wanted to say decanter.
afterwards my boyfriend came over and brought me.... wait for it... a sewing machine! yippee! i have always wanted one. it is his mom's old one from 1982 (not joking) but it looks good to me. there is something to be said for older machines and their quality as well. i am taking a learn to sew course next week - it's just one day and the basics... like how to thread the machine, making a pillow, spooling (whatever that is), etc., so i should be on project runway by next season or so, showcasing my fab designs.
tonight i am going to the gym and watching biggest loser, which i taped. already the ending was spoiled for me. although, i really couldn't care who gets the boot at this point. i heard there was a big fight and house drama. don't tell me!

I love my sewing machine! can't imagine not having it and I agree the older ones are better quality, mine is from 92, bought new by me but now old... lol
I taped the Biggest Loser too, so I can't wait to see it tonight. noone spoiled it for me yet, thank god. yay to your new sewing machine.
I got one last year for xmas and love it! Yay!
Have fun sewing! That's one of the things I want to take up this year. What is it that you want to make?
So how did you end up joining a book club?? I am jealous. I tried to get my friends to make one with me but they always fail to read the books. Oh well.
I'm soo jealous that you know how to sew - one of my goals once we buy a house (and have room) is to get my mom's sewing maching and learn!
Sorry if it was me that ruined BL - I'll hold off on saying who got kicked off.
I loved mulled wine - it is a little taste of winter!
Swimming - Mary McCormack and St. Lawrence
Zellers - Dundas West and Bloor by the Loblaws but I overheard someone saying that there are more!
Anne: I want to sew anything. Actually I always have fashion ideas in mind and then can't find it in the store - so I want to be able to make my own clothes, hem pants, re-line jackets (although I'm sure this is tough) and make household things and presents like aprons, duvet covers, curtains, quilts, baby bibs, etc.
Cara: I work in publishing so some of the girls from my publishing courses got together to form the club. A lot of people don't read the book which is really annoying! If you don't read the book, get outta the club!
Sara: I don't know how to sew yet but I'm taking a basic course at the workroom on Queen West - next week! And you didn't ruin it - a friend emailed me haha.
