vestday

did you know that wednesday is also vestday?

from wikipedia:

"An English language idiom for Wednesday is "hump day", a reference to making it through to the middle of the work week as getting "over the hump". It is also informally referred to as "the peak of the week". Another popular tradition in the United States is to wear a sweater vest on this mid-week business day. This has led Wednesday to be referred to as Vestday."

i am not wearing a vest but i wish i was. i only have one vest and it's too big so i can't wear it.

today i brought my workout clothes to work and i am going for a run AT LUNCH. yes, you heard it right here. and why not? i get an hour and this podcast only takes 32 minutes total. i don't want my progress to slack because i want to run a 5k soon, possibly before the end of the year. this won't happen if i'm excuses ellen all the time.

here is today's menu:
breakfast:
oatmeal (2)
yogurt (1)
3/19

pre-run:
banana (2)
5/19

lunch:
pc blue menu vegetable lasagna (6)
11/19

snack if i'm hungry
3 rye crackers (1)
12/19

dinner: mystery as per usual.

Vestday - I'll have to note that for next week and wear one of my vests! Good Luck on your lunch run!

That made me laugh out loud... since of course I've never known anyone who wears a sweater vest on Wednesday. Doubly funny is that when I saw the title of your post I was like "what kind of crazy Canadian thing is vestday?!?"
