swimming

good morning everyone. another rainy day in the city! last night my book club went to the movies - to see the other boleyn girl... it was alright but i was not that impressed. it was really different from the book, which is always the case. i should see the movie before reading the book.

one of my friends in the club leant me the boleyn inheritance so i am looking forward to reading that after i finish eat pray love.

last night after the movie we went out for drinks and dinner. i ordered a personal pizza. red curry sauce on thin crust with zucchini, apples, and goat cheese. it was so good and hard to stop at just half (but i did). i didn't get home until 11:30 though - taking the transit home late at night in the cold wet rain really is the pits.

on the way to book club i walked to canadian tire to get more paint brushes. they had packs of five brushes on for 75% off ($2.50). i can't pass up a deal like that. and now after i paint i can just throw out the brush and not wash it out (i hate that - it never gets clean enough and takes so long). i also got new swimming goggles. i actually just got a pair of $10 speedos but returned them because they really hurt my face. i looked like a victim of abuse. so i spent $20 and got a pair of speedo vanquisher for women googles. i had this kind before and it is superior to all other brands and types i've had in the past. i used to have blue but this time i got pink. seriously people it's the best.

i also found this sugar-free caramel syrup for coffee. yes, at canadian tire. they had more flavours but only sugar-free in caramel which really i'm not complaining about. :o) i forget the brand but it was there.

this morning i went swimming for about 45 minutes. i'm not sure about the distance because i don't know how long the pool is. i'm looking into it though! it was fun.

today i'm eating:

banana bread oatmeal and frozen berries

yogurt and grapes and carrots and baby tomatoes with hummus
cheese sandwich

lean cuisine skillet sensations for dinner
and probably popcorn too

I thought you didn't like being wet? Your swimming now?
I liked Eat Pray Love. the kind of book when you're sad when it's over. the Other Boleyn Girl a good book?

i still don't like being wet but swimming really is great exercise. and if i do it in the mornings i'm only wet once and then i can shower and be dry for the rest of the day. and it's finally over the freezing mark outside so it's not so bad. and i have the pool in my building so i should take advantage of it. annndddd those are all my reasons haha.

for eat, pray, love - i have just started the second part "india". i thought that the first part "italy" was pretty good. i don't think is amazing or anything, and it's not one of those books that i can't put down, but it's very calming and nice that way. :o)

thanks for the heads up about the other boelyn girl. i was going to see it tonight with some girlfriends, but might rethink our choice now. i'll be sure to pick up the book, though!

ugh, how much does this weather suck? it's like mother nature's feeling as "great" as i am. also, thanks for your words of encouragement on my last post!

Everyone talks about Eat Pray Love, but I really have no desire to read it. Is it worth it???

death by chocolate: the banana bread oatmeal is just quaker instant... it comes in a box that's half banana bread half cinnamon roll.

pom: not sure if it's worth it. it's sort of good, but not page turning. i'll finish it though.

lex.d: thanks - i love them!
