day two thank you

day two was another food and exercise success. i ate breakfast at home, had lunch plus two snacks at work, went swimming and had a delicious dinner. on monday night i did have a vitatop brownie, but it's all good. now that i am back to tracking on ww online, i realize how different the site is. i know they changed the plan to the "momentum" plan, but since my points never changed and i already ate the more "healthy" filling foods anyway i didn't really look at it too much.

the new plan gives you a daily points allotment, 35 weekly points, and activity points. BUT you must use all of your daily points AND weekly points before any of your activity points are deducted. AND you can only use your activity points on the same day you earn them. so basically, you don't really get them except for the last day unless you eat all of your weekly points early on in the week, which heaven forbid, i would never do. i think that is how it works. i'm sure somebody will correct me if i'm not. i did a google search on this and apparently people are inconvenienced and outraged by this. i don't care because it's not the end of the world, is it? what is a point anyway but a figment of my imagination? a meaningless obstacle on this road we call weight loss. i'm deep.

my dinner last night was an egg white omelet. i wanted an egg, but i didn't have one. i did have lots of leftover veggies though. i chopped and heated up some red onion, zucchini, red pepper, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, avocado, and sun-dried tomato. then i poured 3/4 cup egg whites onto another pan and let it cook into a circle. transfer to a plate, pour the veggies on half, fold it over, sprinkle with chili lime sauce, add 2 slices of ezekiel toast, and you have a delicious, nutritious, filling 5.5 point meal.

in other news, my skin is really breaking out. what is with this mid-life acne! grrrr. i use pro-activ but it's not working. i think it's from stress and womanly business. who can be sure though? taking ground flax has eliminated most of my PMS symptoms (except the extreme snappiness and sensitivity) WHO SAID THAT!@@?@?@!! i'm sorry, come back, i love you.

mmm look at that candy. tonight is date night and i am going to see the musical "spring awakening" with my beau. i am very excited. first we are going to sears so i can buy more nylons for work, second we are going to harveys for dinner (6 point veggie burger OR grilled chicken salad) and third to the really big shoe. i am not swimming tomorrow but may do yoga in the morning. that's a big "may" since i already get up at 6:15 as it is! happy wednesday. one day at a time, right?

I have the craziest, most sensitive skin in the world - and lately I started using Spectro-Gel (the moisturizing version - they have all different kinds) and WOW. I was really surprised to find that it's the best face cleanser I've used. I haven't had any weird skin issues AT ALL since I started using it. And it's way cheaper (per unit anyways - it comes in a giant bottle) than most high end cleansers out there!

I have had more zits in my 30's then at any other time in my life, its just crazy, I too tried pro-active, it didn't work. What I have found to work is cutting out splenda and fake sugars, seriously caused me problems...and the stuff on this website, if you do as instructed it does exactly what it claims and its cheaper than pro-active too :0)

I have a question for you. I have never been on ww before because I don't want to waste money on something that may not be right for me. I have about 10-15 pounds to lose. Would you recommend ww to someone like me?

you are so funny.

Glad you had a good day! Eggs are the perfect thing to eat!

I'm with you on that deep point thought. It doesn't matter how you divide up your food, points and activity points etc. I think the best part of WW is to watch serving sizes and track your food, keep you accountable. Everything else is gimmick.

My hormones have been completely out of whack for the last 6 months and I've been breaking out like mad. I will get a clear break from it every few months, but I just want my body to even out already, I'm turning 29!!! Frig I'm not 16!

I haven't been following the new WW plan, so I'm not sure but that sounds rediculous about the AP's. I get the filling foods idea since they basically have to keep up with the 100 packs of processed foods that hit mainstream.

Have a fun date!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh - I am 33 and just started getting acne last year or so. It's just not fair at all. I was considering pro-active. You don't like it?? A dermotalogist I know said to use Cetaphil, so I have. But I dno't feel like it gets my skin clean. I've tried expensive products too and they dno't seem to work either. hmmmm

I'm right with you on the crazy skin. I think I'm getting things under control now, but I'm knocking on wood as I type that (that's right, I'm a multitasker!).

About the WW points thing...you got it right except that your activity points are banked for whenever you need them, you don't need to use them on the same day. So say you've burned through your weekly points by day 4 of your week...on day 5 if you go over your daily points you then start taking from your banked activity points.

In the end, a point is a point no matter where it comes from.
